Our good friend Curtis Tate has brought home another Polaris
to add to his growing stable of vintage snowmobiles.

Pay no attention to the decal, this is a 67 Colt, Model 150

Curtis says it headed into the shop this week. He now has a 66, 67, 69, & 69 Colt

Lost photos of the SRX found !!

Several years ago ( 2000 ) I sold this SRX at the Expo show in Puyallup.

The current owner, Steve Burdick has been looking for photos
of this sled ever since he purchased it a couple years back (also at the Expo in Puyallup)

I had told Steve that I did not have any photos of this sled. They had mysteriously
escaped my detection until a few days ago while going thru my sled files looking for
photos of my 71 TX Charger I'm selling. ( SEE BELOW)

When I owned it, it looked like this......

Same sled, now Steve owns it and it looks like this.......

New vintage member, David Rojo (left) and Mark Young
and myself reunite after 12 years.
I sold a vintage parts sled to David recently and while
at my place, we called Mark Young over to come join in
the fun, do a little bench racing and have a cold one.
The three of us raced together in the old OSRC and now the
three 50+ year old guys are competing for vintage parts.
While the memory of race events past seemed to be told differently from each of us, it was a good to be back together once again.

We will see David on the vintage trail and at some of
our Northwest events for sure.

Sent to us by Roger Biddiscombe   What in the world were they thinking !!

Another season of vintage snowmobile riding is coming to an end. I had a really great
time this year. There was exceptionally good snow, which added to our events,
but the strong storms also took away from some.
I want to thank the sponsors of our rides; Ed and Marlane Buckner for Trout Lake;
 Howard Briggs for the ride out of Elk Heights and the Sky Meadows;
Greg Byrd for the Apple Country Snowmobile Clubs yearly play-day; and
everyone that contacted me to go out on the night ride at Blewett Pass and the participants.

I even had a chance to attend a ride sponsored by Roger Biddiscomb of the
Vintage Snowmobile Club of the Inland Northwest.  There was a large turnout for the
Misty Mountain Snowmobile Club’s annual vintage snowmobile ride at
Rose Springs Sno-Park by Pomeroy, WA.

This year we had new events, but more importantly, new members to enjoy them.

The vintage snowmobile season does not seem to end with winter.  I know a lot of you
will be attending the Moxee show and the Vintage Snowmobile Club of America’s
third-annual show in Coeur d’ Alene this coming July.

Thank you for all who participated, and look forward getting together for the 2008-2009 season.   Sincerely,

Kevin Hancock
